SWIFT CSP Program
Society of Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) created the CSP – Customer Security Program – Customer Security Program in 2016. This program aims to secure the SWIFT structure in financial institutions with the CSCF (Customer Security Controls Framework) approach. The first CSCF version included 16 mandatory and 9 advisory check numbers.
CSCF consists of mandatory (mandatory) and recommended (advisory) controls. Since mandatory controls aim at the most basic level of security, all SWIFT users are required to comply with these controls in SWIFT environments. Recommended controls are those that SWIFT recommends to reduce risk and create a higher level of security. These controls can change from recommended to mandatory controls, or new controls can be added to the CSCF structure, taking into account the change in the risk environment and the increase in risks over time.

SWIFT affiliates must comply with the CSP’s 2023 CSCF controls (24 mandatory, 8 recommendations) by 2023.
Financial institutions are required to submit their compliance documents documented by independent auditing to SWIFT until 31.December.2023.

SWIFT CSP Audit Service
Secureway is an authorized consultancy and assessment provider by SWIFT; performing audit service to determine the compliance status against the SWIFT Customer Security Program (CSP). After the audit, the report showing the compliance status of the applicable CSCF controls and completion letter, proving the successful completion of the audit are submitted to the client.
